Watching anime on Prime Video

I’m a big fan of Urusei Yatsura and would love to watch the remake which will be airing from next week, but unfortunately I don’t have a TV in my apartment. However, I have seen on [their site](https://uy-allstars.com/onair/) that the episodes will be available also on Amazon Prime Video. Do you know if it is possible to watch Japanese shows with an European account on primevideo.com while residing in Japan? I don’t feel like paying for a Japanese Prime because I will only stay here for five months.

  1. Amazon Japan is separated from the rest of the Amazon so your European account won’t even work on Amazon Japan.

Their site also said that you can watch the latest episode for free on GYAO!. So just watch there weekly.

  2. If you do make a Japanese Amazon Prime, be aware that your language options will include Japanese. If you don’t understand it, maybe you could add some Japanese subtitles. Or just watch it in Japanese. Either way, I hope you understand Japanese!

  3. Amazon prime japan doesn’t have japanese subtitles for most anime. You would have to rely solely on the jp audio to understand it.
I just checked and ureusei yatsura doesn’t have subs either.
Crunchyroll doesn’t work in japan but you may try it with a VPN.
Other than that, yohoho and a bottle of rum.
