Japan Alps excursion early/mid November or something else?

I’ll be arriving in Tokyo Nov 5th (leaving Nov 15th) and am trying to figure out a 1-3 day nature excursion somewhat within distance of Tokyo or Kyoto. This will be my 9th trip to Japan, and I had thoughts on trying to see the Japan Alps for the first time, but I wasn’t sure if autumn leaves would be far enough past peak to feel less worth the trek?

I’m looking at either visiting Kamikochi and/or doing the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route. Any thoughts or alternatives to align with autumn foliage? My favorite place of nature I have visited has been Nikko and the surrounding park.

For reference, I’ve been to:
\- Nikko
\- Koyasan
\- Mt. Fuji / Fuji Five Lakes
\- Kamakura/Enoshima
\- Hiroshima/Miyajima/Ōkunoshima
\- Tokyo/Yokohama/Disney
\- Kyoto/Osaka/Nara/Himeji/Kobe
\- Sapporo/Otaru

Thanks in advance!
