Hiking Mt. Fuji In November (Off-Season). How far can I go on a trail (NOT climbing)?

I’m going to Japan in early to mid-November and I see that the climbing season has been over since September. However, I don’t want to climb, I just want to hike the highest trail, snowy or not.

I looked around but most results I find are only mentioning climbing, but again, I simply want to *HIKE*. Total stairclimbs are okay, but I’m not looking to climb by definition.

Are there any trails that go partially up the mountain or even to the peak, for *hiking only*?

  1. If you want to hike and not climb, Mt. Takao might be a better option. It’s closer to Tokyo and is open year round.
