Also, are there any dictionaries that only have actually-used words? Like no rare/archaic type words that people never use? I wanna get a physical dictionary for vocab alongside the “A dictionary of immediate/advanced Japanese grammar” books
The Kenkyusha New College Japanese-English Dictionary is excellent, but it hasn’t had a new edition in a long time so it’ll be missing some contemporary slang and newly coined words. It’s also definitely targeted at native Japanese speakers so it doesn’t have furigana on kanji or anything like that. But that’s the best one I know of.
