I’ve been learning Japanese for a while now mostly from textbooks, online material and Anki cards.
I got a basic vocabulary and understand the essentials of grammar, far from having a deep conversation though.
I really want to practice speaking, but don’t really have any friends who are also studying.
How did you practice speaking and listening?

Language exchange apps like tandem or HelloTalk.
You can also do tutoring sessions with a service like iTalki, but obviously then you have to pay (on the other hand you also don’t have to help your partner practice English or any other languages you are fluent in).
