I was reading an article and stumbled across this sentence.
>留学した結果、それを社内にどう還元できるかは、実際にはわからないかと思いますが、事前に「具体的にどんなスキルを学ぶ予定なのか」「得たスキルをどう社内に活かして行きたいのか」という目標設定はできると考えています。
My understanding of the Japanese is as follows
>Although I think you may not actually know how you will be able to give back to the company from your study-abroad experience, I’m thinking that you can set goals in advance, such as “what specific skills do you plan to learn” and “how do you want to apply the skills we have gained within the company”.
I’m a bit confused when distinguishing between 〜と思います and 〜考えています, do both mean “thinking”?
And 留学した結, the literal translation is “Study abroad result”, but it doesn’t sound natural in English. (Although my current translation sounds off too)

思う means to think in the sense of holding a thought/opinion, 考える means to think in the sense of actively considering, evaluating or synthesizing.
Your translation of 留学した結果 is correct. Here, it’s simply interjected into the sentence as a clause (note that the author proceeds to immediately refer to it using それを). A natural way to translate that part may be “As for the results of studying abroad, that (それを)…”
