KENTA’s Book

Even the OG Kenta is promoting it! So, how hard can it be to pay someone to translate it and sell it on the NJPW shop? It would for sure sell better than most other stuff they are selling. How hard can it be to find a translator when every shitty anime and manga is constantly translated to English? The same goes really for all of the other Japanese books about Wrestlers, how hard can it be to translate them? They must know there is an interest for this material outside of Japan, no?

  1. I will take any appropriate moment to confess my undying love for Kobashi. Motherfucker came back from cancer and still delivered like crazy. Everything about this man screams badass: His theme gives me goosebumps; His bodyshape isn’t ripped but he just looks like a bastard who can easily pick you up and slam a hole through the ring with your body; He tried to murder Misawa with a Burning Hammer.

Fuck he’s awesome. I’m just glad we can appreciate his legacy while he’s still alive.

  2. i’d pay 10x the price to have KENTA read it for audible in english

    but smarmy backstage KENTA only

  3. C’mon Charlton! Stop translating all those Douki backstage comments and get to work on this!

  4. VIZ (American manga and anime distributor) translated and published Shinsuke Nakamura’s book several years ago. Maybe they’ll pick up Kenta’s as well. It’s not as simple as just translating, it also has to be sold to a publisher who is willing to take the financial risk involved with publishing the book in English-speaking/reading countries.

  5. Maybe instead of complaining, you can learn to read a new language. Clearly Japanese wrestling is important to you, so learning a new skill would make you enjoy it even more.

  6. I love that KENTA decided to go by the mononym because his full name is 2 letters away from Kenta Kobashi.
