Thank you for the input! Second Try: Itinerary for 20 days 🤗

Hi guys,

In the [Previous Itinerary](https://www.reddit.com/r/JapanTravel/comments/xtsren/time_off_work_20_days_in_japan_tokyo_takayama/) I have some feedback and based upon it, I have removed Fukuoka from my itinerary.

At the moment it looks like:

25 May – Arrive into Haneda, check in into a hotel in Shinjuku. First day will try to familiarise myself with the area and walk around Shinjuku, Shibuya and Harajuku.

26-29 May- The rest of Tokyo – Ueno, Asakusa, Disney Sea, Segataya half day trip, Yokohama half day trip, and Hakone Day Trip

30 May Tokyo into Takayama, check out Shirakawa go as well or just walk around Takayama and enjoy the town

31-1 June From Takayama to Miyajima, stay at Miyajima

1 June from Miyajima via Hiroshima Peace Park & Museum, to Osaka

3-4 June at Osaka, exploring

4-9 June in Kyoto, based near Sanjo station.

Exploring Kyoto + Uji day trip, Arashiyama day trip, Nara day trip.

Then 9-12 back to Tokyo. Exploring Tokyo Bay, Nikko day trip and catching up on food & restaurants 🙈😁

What do you think? 🤗🤗🤗

  1. Takayama to Miyajima will be a long travel day. You can probably break that up by making a stop in Osaka/Kyoto then head down to Hiroshima stay and come back Kyoto/Osaka.

  2. When you go to Nikko, I would highly suggest staying for at least one day. If you are into hiking, you could walk from Lake Chūzenji to Yumoto, go to an Onsen and take the bus back. Climbing Mt Nantai is also a really cool experience, just beware of the bears… And obviously, if you are interested (and I guess even if you are not…), you should visit some of the shrines in the area.
