Secret technique: If you don’t have any idea for sources regarding a topic, go to the [References section of the Wikipedia page for that topic](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonsai#References) and refer to those sources (especially if you can get your hands on the actual literature or full research papers).
If you are doing a project or writing a paper, then generally the more different sources you study the more comprehensive your knowledge will become. If you are going to purport something as fact or truth, then you’ll want to make sure that your understanding is comprehensive and rock-solid by referring to a variety of sources.
