Hello, beginning learner and long-time lurker here!
Among the resources listed in the wiki, I couldn’t find this particular type of content: a blog that records the process of learning Japanese in real time!
Now, most websites and other mediums that focus on learning Japanese might have a small preamble or chapter where the author would recount briefly their Japanese learning journey. But no one (to my knowledge) expands on that. As someone curious about language learning, I find that to be a shame.
I’m not a native English speaker, yet I can use English quite well (I think so, at least). However, if you asked me how I learned English, I could give you some general statements like “I used to consume a lot of English-language media” and “I used to enjoy the English subject at school” but it’s been so long I couldn’t possibly recall most of the details.
My goal is to be able to use Japanese (almost) as well as I can use English, for listening, speaking, reading and writing. To be honest, I had some failed starts, but I really want to reach this goal somehow, so I thought this blog would, among other things, keep me accountable (to myself and an audience). And to be fair, with each new “reset” I did feel more confident and slightly more knowledgeable. Other than that, I think this might provide some insight how the Japanese language can be learnt, from the perspective of a beginner, to novices and interested experts alike (maybe teachers?). It can be interesting for anyone who’s interested in language acquisition, as a case study.
What do you think of this idea? Would you be interested in reading such a blog? Would really love to know if you might be interested and/or have some notes. I What would be the best blog platform for such an idea? I was thinking of Medium.
Thank you for reading!

Lots of people do stuff like that. [Here’s mine](https://forum.language-learners.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=12230) for instance, and as you can see, there are others on the same forum.
In theory it sounds interesting, in practice it sounds like I’d lose interest really soon. Maybe if there was weekly/monthly summaries I’d be interested in reading them?
I haven’t come across any blogs yet that do this (I don’t read many blogs though), but there’s plenty vloggers on youtube and, less formally I suppose, some people share study logs on the WaniKani forums. Here’s some: https://community.wanikani.com/t/master-list-of-study-logs/37821
