Super early in the planning stages, first trip to Japan. We are making our base(s) of operation Osaka and Tokyo with a few day trips thrown in. For initial planning purposes I decided to bundle areas in what I thought a good day’s itinerary would look like.
* Do these area bundles make sense?
* Are any of the days too much for a single day? Conversely, are any days not full enough?
* Any glaring things we are missing out on that I didn’t include on here?

I would seriously question one day for Kyoto
Are you going to Osaka Mint for the cherry blossoms in the garden. If so, be aware that they only open the garden one week a year and it’s usually in mid April as their trees are late bloomers. In 2022 there was a requirement to book online due to covid, it is very packed crowd wise. We went at night as very well illuminated which would allow you extra time elsewhere.
+1 for not enough time in Kyoto. Osaka and Kyoto are not that far apart so easy to go back and forth.
