the difference between ようです and そうです

So I guess there are two types of uses for そうです:

1.あの映画はおもしろそうです。

2.あの映画はおもしろいそうです。

I believe the first sentence has a meaning like “That movie seems to be interesting”, and the second one “I heard that this movie is interesting”.

And when it comes to ようです、it is used in as:
あの映画はおもしろいようです。

Does this last sentence has a meaning similar to the first one (おもしろそうです)? They both imply impression, as far as I understand, but is there any difference between the two?
