A friend asked me where to find shirts that aren’t boxy in look (UNIQLO, Muji, etc.), but I realized that I have no clue. He has a broad chest but thin waist, so the boxy shirts sort of hang off his chest and don’t taper down to his waist.
Any store suggestions? Offline or online, doesn’t matter. Looking for stuff off the rack, not custom tailored.
EDIT: Sorry, I meant casual button-down shirts, not dress shirts for work or whatever. Casual clothing, not work clothes.

Lots of places you can get custom tailored shirts, go to any major Dept. store.
Zara and orchica (so?) are my go tos.
I have a few shirts from Eddie Bauer and J Crew like that but I don’t know if those styles exist anymore. I bought them ages ago.
I generally get dress shirts custom made now, but Brick House was always good for slim off the rack stuff. Casual wear is more difficult, especially with boxier cuts becoming more popular, but H&M still do slim fits I think.
Best fitted shirt I ever bought was an Issey Miyake.
Doctor Belee shirts are very nice, though getting a fit for very long arms or very broad chests may be tough. http://www.doctorbelee.co.jp/
Slim fit H&M or Uniqlo.
