Have my card hooked up but it keeps failing, not sure why. Only thing I could assume is because it’s an American card, but it’s a Chase card which can work in any country. Even contacted them and they know I’m in Japan, so it’s not a false fraud issue. Any help?

It’s a known problem with foreign card since a few month ago. You need domestic card, or charge with cash at stations/convenience store.
