I’m excited.
I’m on a Business Manager visa and have a new office near Shin-Yokohama station, but I don’t know the area well since I usually work in Nagoya. I’m considering places to live and wondered if anyone from the area has advice. Others have mentioned Higashi-Kanagawa, Kannai, or even commuting down from Shinagawa. I’m mostly looking for a something close-ish to the office and convenient to Tokyo if I want to go. Do you guys know some good neighborhoods for me to check out?

Where in Tokyo do you want to be convenient to? If you’re in the places you mentioned, you’ll be on the same train as Tokyo (although it’s the Keihin Tohoku-sen, which is an arguably slow train).
If you live one stop away from Shiny Okohama, there’s a station called Kikuna (菊名) that’s one train from Shibuya, Shinjuku, and other “cool” places.
