After I read about a guy asking for ED drugs without prescription I remembered a similar thing.
I had vertical sleeve gastrectomy surgery 3 years ago and my doctor back then prescribed me metformin drugs( generally used for type 2 diabetes but helps regulating blood sugar and makes you less hungry) back in my home country both ED drugs and metformin were OTC so you could go up to a pharmacy and buy them without prescription but here you can only buy fake painkillers which doesn’t have ibuprofen or paracetamol, why is that ?

In my home country (Canada), they are also prescription only.

100% not true. You can buy both OTC. For example, [Eve](https://www.ssp.co.jp/product/brand/eve/) has both ibuprofen and acetaminophen formulations available. And that’s just one brand out of many. Read the labels.
