  1. I’ve had Sugarfish pretty consistently for the past 5 years. Their trustme box is usually my go-to. However after discovering Omakai down in the SOFL area, I’m 100 percent certain that this for $50, is way higher quality fish and more filling.

  2. Dang, I wish we had this in NC. I remember meeting a chef a long time ago and he told me the “correct” way to do an assortment of nigiri was plating the fish in a certain order and teaching the customer to eat in said order from savory to mild or sweet flavors. That’s cool that the packaging reflects that.

  3. Wow nigiri that looks like a pro made it vs. a bunch of 6 year olds taking a sushi class 😅

Sugarfish nigiri is literally the most lazy poorly crafted nigiri I have ever seen at a hyped spot in my life. This place you got from in Florida looks 1000x better.

  4. What is a “fluke” on the bottom right? Is that a type of fish?

The only animals called “flukes” I know of are trematodes and would be the absolute last thing I’d ever want to eat.

  5. Anyone know a place with similar quality, feel and cost in DFW? Been looking for a while, and pretty much all I can find is Bougie res-only $200 omakase (yum, but my poor wallet) or garbage sushi that may as well have come from a gas station.
