tips to loose weight in japan?

I’d like to know if rice and udon noodles are ok to eat if i want to loose weight, i used to weight 70kgs but i gained 3kgs and i want to weight 65 if possible 🫠

The cafeteria in my workplace always serves a bowl of rice with the meals so i was wondering if its safe to eat 🤔

  1. Same as everywhere else: IN – OUT = Accumulation

    So you can try to increase your OUT by being more physically active, or reduce your calorie input.

  2. Highly recommend intermittent fasting (limit the amount of time you eat each day). 6-8 hours of eating then stop. Works great

  3. Rice, noodles, pasta, bread =carbohydrates=sugars. Nothing wrong about it but in excess like with anything else then yea. Just dont eat as much as before and stay very active and youll achieve your goals. If you feel hungry eat oatmeal. Itll make you feel full longer.

  4. Carbs make you fat but it’s unavoidable in Japan as they’re served up with nearly everything along with sugary sauces much of the time. Japanese avoid putting on weight purely by having been regimentally disciplined about portion control. Intermittent fasting is the best option as the range of choices for a low carb diet are extremely narrow.

  5. Technically you can eat anything you want – including rice and udon – and lose weight. The key is in how much you eat.

  6. Rice is fine. Cut down or quit alcohol. Don’t eat after 8.30pm. If hungry at night drink water. Generally drop your portions. Eat bananas for snacks. Ride a bike.

  7. Move more and build some muscles, I don’t mean be a gym rat, just daily push ups would suffice. More muscle mass = more energy consumption. Don’t need 6 packs, this is not for vanity.

    Or you can take up some martial arts. When I did kendo I could never put on weight no matter how much i ate.

  8. Something to add: Lots of salty food so reduce that and drink plenty of water = helps reducing your chubby cheeks
