Black speaker car with huge Japanese flag?

I was walking in Roppongi today when this black truck with huge Japan flags on its side came by, with some kind of chanting being broadcast out of its speakers. It was escorted/trailed by 1 police bike and 1 car.

I tried searching about it and it seems to be related to a nationalistic movement? Is this true?

  1. Yes, they are nationalists. Blasting anything from speakers should be banned, hate speech or J-Pop

  2. It’s an ultranationalist group that’s been around for a long time. They spend a lot of time harassing ethnic minorities and extorting small business owners for money by parking in front of shops with their loudspeakers blaring and refusing to leave until they’re paid.

  3. WoW! I didn’t know those still existed.

When I lived in Nagoya, I used to see them everywhere, almost every week. Now that I live in saitama I rarely see them. I don’t even remember when the last time I saw those black cars.

  4. I live in Toranomon, where US, Russia embassy are located.

They come to there in every weekend, sooooo annoying.

  5. They’re clowns on parade. You should clap for them like the circus is in town when your see them.
