Easy Peasy JLPT N5 Question (but i’m confused AF)

Sensei-tachi, ohayougozaimasu!

I’m doing JLPT N5 practice questions on [Japanesepod101.com](https://Japanesepod101.com) and was doing the part where we need to select the “best answer for the sentence”. I selected answer 1. below but apparently I was wrong and the site says that 2. is the best answer. Can anyone tell me why, because I think that 1. is saying “i ride the train at the train station” and 2. “I get off the train at the train station” so it seems like both can be right? TIA for your guidance!

1. **えきで でんしゃを** **のります**
2. **えきで でんしゃを** **おります**

  1. For のる(のります) you will use the particle に, not を! You are getting on/in the train. For おりる(おります) the concept of “getting off of” includes the directionality (off), where as のる does not. Think of it as to ride/to take (a mode of transport).
