Obviously gambling in Japan is illegal, well kinda. I went to a friends house a few weeks ago and he was watching some single person high speed boat races online, he was putting bets down for a few dollars each time picking who was the first three places or something. Then I went to my wifes parents house and the horse racing was on TV. I understand there are no casinos in Japan, just pachinko, but is there anything you can go and bet on like soccer or baseball?
Ive seen ads around the place for sports betting you can buy at the combini on the machines but Ive never done it. Anyone here try it and had any success with sports betting in Japan?

From what I understand you can only really bet on horse racing, motorcycle racing, speed boat racing, and bicycle keirin racing.
