no matter the route, its always nice to see learnt kanji while doing immersion, motivating for me at least
Have you ever tried RTK?
I personally found it easier to learn the readings of words rather than each kanji.
It’s way harder at first since you don’t really know what a kanji is and how you’re supposed to read it but eventually you’ll pick up how easy it really is
If I couldn’t learn a language that over 100 million people were able to learn, how could I expect myself to manage with other problems in life?
Kanji made me stop each time until I accepted them. From that moment I never stopped and it has been almost three years.
My routine in the morning is to do some Anki (vocabulary + grammar). My routine after work is to watch some anime in Japanese without subtitles. The weekend I take some time to go deeper on certain grammar points.
Twice a week I take conversation lessons.
When I was at the beginning I was only doing some Anki. The rest came little by little when I wanted to accelerate my progression.
I love kanji, it’s one of my favourite parts of Japanese. I got excited over getting a kanji text book for my birthday. I don’t understand why people give up because of it.
