This is a little bit of a weird one I feel like for a couple of reasons. Y**ou can skip to the bullets if you don’t care, but I want advice that can connect to the back story.**
first of all, it is both of **our first time traveling out of the country** (USA), secondly, **we are trying to plan this in tandem with another couple** (my childhood friend and his wife) for their honeymoon as well, because we both wanted Japan and we both got married in the same month (&$$$).
It might sound weird sharing a honeymoon trip, but we sort of plan to split off a lot throughout the days and just get rooms in the same hotels and whatnot, aside from things we all want to do anyways. Sharing it was my friend’s idea for cost (I publicly complained about that). I like the idea of having another group in the country at the same time.
another weird part is that we are kind of planning two trips because we all want to do a lot of things and taking more than 7-9 days off and away from home is hard and expensive. The second trip would follow after in a different season and could be as far off as we need it in order to save up or get time off. It would let us see another season and area of Japan. **I will just focus on one trip for now**, just know that trip 2 would be more in Osaka and Kyoto, so they aren’t here.
What I am planning so far is **7 days of solid time in Japan bookended by extra days for flight**. I want it so that the day we arrive has nothing planned so that we can adjust, and the day we leave has minimal plans so we don’t miss the plane. So somewhere around 9 days of travel total, with 7 days of plans. **I am game to extend it a little if it feels too dense.**

I have added specific things we want to see, but I am not sure what should be first, second etc, nor am I sure about how many days each should get. That is mostly what I want advice with. I am using Google Maps to try and see what is closer to what to plan the rhythm, but its hard to know for sure.

**Trip 1 spring or fall season (days are not in order, only for pacing)**
**Day 1 (the day after arriving in tokyo)**
* **Tokyo Tower**
* **Sky Tree**
* **Hamarikyu garden (Sakura season)**
* **Gotokuji temple (cat temple)**
* **Asakusa (food)**
* **Akihabara area sightseeing, shopping, weeb out a lil**
* **Mandarake**
* **Arcade**
* **Super Potato**
**Day 2**
* **Tokyo Disney (as long as this day is not a weekend F that)**
* **This is a must for both my wife and my friends.**
**Day 3**
* **Shibuya area sightseeing, shopping, eating, scrambling**
* **Meiji jingu shrine**
* **Sailor moon store**
* **The crossing**
* **Hachiko**
* **Shinjuku area**
* **Shinjuku golden gai(food and drinking)**
* **Shinjuku gyoen national park (Sakura season only?)**
* **Harajuku area**
* **Is it stretching it to fit three areas in one day? Where should I split this? Harajuku is mostly for sightseeing currently, if there is something neat here to consider LMK!!**
**Day 4**
* **Yomiuri Land?**
* **This is on my friend’s list, and I know my wife would probably also enjoy it, but I have honestly barely heard of it. I know what it is and that’s about it.**
**Day 5**
* **Ghibli museum**
* **This is another one that is on my friend’s list but I could stand to miss it. If my wife wants to go we will, otherwise this is an extra day to wander.**
**Day 6 & 7**
* **Either more wandering or will be filled via splitting Day 1 and/or Day 2 into two days.**
**any advice or suggestions based on this would be great!**
