How long does it take for NHK cancellation forms to arrive?

so I called NHK to cancel my contract this morning but I forgot to ask how long will it take for the cancellation forms to arrive. I was at work the whole day so I don’t know if they came today (I notice that some mail sometimes get delivered in person idk why won’t they just put it in the mailbox lol, idk if NHK works like that)

  1. My tip would be to call up again and have the method of payment changed to コンビニ払い (pay at combini). That’ll prevent any unwanted payments. Also make sure to record the phone call and tell the operator that you’re recording the call.

    Then you should request the cancellation form. They might omit to send it to you and call you within a few months that you haven’t been paying the bills, at which point you can tell them they can shove the bills in a very dark place. (Don’t forget to record this call as well.)

    Source: I found out I was paying for NHK even after one year I had cancelled it so I decided to do it this way and it worked.
