Random question about tumblers

I ate at Kirby cafe in Hakata today, and bought a tumbler as a souvenir. However, it came without a lid. I have seen other tumblers for sale without one. On the box, it advertises that it can be used for hot or cold drinks and the pictures have lids on them. Am I supposed to get plastic ones separately? Please help 😂

Edit: partly was curious if this is a normal thing or why they even do this here in the first place. I’ve seen it sold this way before in Japan. Where do people get the lids for these lid-less tumblers lol

  1. …I didn’t know that ‘tumbler’ meant anything except for ‘glass’ until this moment.

  2. Is it the 30th ダイレクトステンレスボトル? Because it seems like it should have a lid.

Also, every time I’ve bought a thing that comes in an opaque box, they ask you to open it at the counter to check it. If they forgot, that’s pretty shitty customer service.

  3. Is there a spot for a lid, like the spiral indents where you would screw it in?

If not, then I’m thinking it might just be an insulated cup or one of those cups that is made to hold and sort of insulate convenience store coffees.

There’s plenty of retailers online that sell silicone lids for tumbler style cups and mugs, if you end up needing one.

  4. Most tumblers won’t have lids. Some insulated ones have, and others have them as extra accessories. But for most you’d buy a lid separately if you want one.
