I am currently living in a dorm provided by my company. And I will be moving out and go back to my own country between Dec 2022 to April 2023 to wait for a new VISA issued by another Japanese company.
But I have a lot of personal tools and equipments for my DIY projects (50 kg in total) that I don’t want to send back and forth between Japan and my country.
Any suggestions that I can keep my stuffs in Japan for few months? Is there any storage space that I can rent for this purpose?

Just leave them at a friend’s place.

But a Google search for “storage options japan” gave me: https://tokyocheapo.com/living/tokyo-self-storage-units/
Had good experience with Quraz

Search for レンタル収納, you’ll find loads.
There are a [few types](https://tipsandmusings.com/self-storage-units-in-japan/) of Self storage units and the prices can vary depending on where it is located.
So it’s worth getting recommendations and checking out a few options.
Just look for rental (trunk rooms) storage rooms in your area. Moving soon so recently rented one myself. Googled mapped area, checked sites, applied, visited one too check, got forms, filled in, sent back.
Application form: name, address, pay details, emergency contact details, copy of id, filled in bank transfer details for payment.
Visited office to give hard copies and pay deposit + first bit of rent.
Very simple and easy overall.
I used Hello Storage for 3 months. For a 1.5 “tatami” x 2m height, it was like 9000 a month. Storage places are a lot cheaper farther out. Mine was way out in Saitama prefecture.
