  1. They fucked themselves over by having a handshake deal in the first place and giving him a belt for this long.

    Vacate the belt give it to hikuleo or henare and move on. The built lost its purpose since shingo lost it.

  2. 1) vacate the belt and have Hikuleo beat someone who will put him over. He still deserves to have his moment

    2) somehow get Anderson to do a dark match at one of the NY shows where he drops it.

    But seriously, this whole situation is stupid. We could have had Tanahashi running with the title, even if just for a bit, maybe elevate it again, and instead a belt that’s been considered a hot potato since, what? 2018? Is now even further devalued.

  5. Why can’t they just wait after the Saudi show? You have Power Struggle and Wrestlekingdom unless it’s something else.

  6. What should happen is Karl Anderson shows up at a random NJPW show pre-Crown Jewel. Have him come to ring and say he is not going to defend against Hikuleo or anyone that’s not in Bullet Club. You know what, he says, I’m not going to defend it at all. I’m just gonna set this (the belt) down…

    But he is interrupted by Tama Tonga, Hikuleo, Jado, (and Tonga Loa and Haku!?) who come out and say that ain’t happenin bro. Hikuleo gets in the ring and calls him a coward and a chicken and no wonder your wife left you. Hikuleo says ‘you will defend that title against me right now or I will break your neck’ or whatever he’d like his new catchphrase to be.

    Hikuleo then squashes him as BC and the Tongans have a staredown. Hikuleo wins the belt.

    In the back Hikuleo is with his family and they celebrate when SHO distracts them and EVIL hits Hikuleo with a wrench in the knee.

    But what will happen is a 4 way match: Hikuleo vs EVIL vs Yano vs Henare for the vacant NEVER title and it will be won by EVIL

  7. I would love if Karl Anderson beats Hikuleo and has the belt on WWE till he drops it at WK, won’t happen but would be awesome

  14. Why’s everyone ok with AEW guys having njpw belts, but Karl is doing some wwe shows and it’s an awful thing?

    We don’t know the backstage goings.

  16. El Phantasmo shows up with the belt and insists that “Uncle Karl gave it to him” or whatever, then he “defends” it against Hikileo and is the champion going forward.

    ELP hijinks are the only way you can avoid stripping it.

  17. They are probably still figuring out the deal honestly… this has some serious win/win energy that could rocketship both companies
    1) send nxt 2.0 guys to Japanese tours before main roster
    2) tons of Japanese stars with great social media presence
    3) access to a huge market (Japan)
    4) let guys rotate out make the culture be that you go to Japan to put on bangers, the finishes aren’t going to hurt your push when you come back.

    If these companies get access to eachothers markets as secondary audiences and media content viewers they both are getting Saudi money if they work this right.

  20. Unless this MF can teleport my guess it’s gonna be vacated. Or if they still wanna do it push it to another date. If people expected WWE to play nice with other promotion with this new regime in charge, prepare to be disappointed.

To tell you truth I don’t know whats going to happen with the neveropenweight title but I hope they change and don’t throw it away becuase the neveropenweight title is a great belt and its been defended in a alot of great classic throwback njpw matches and if they do throw away and try to create a new belt then I can’t wait to see what belt njpw got in store just like they did with the iwgp us title which is my other favorite belt but I would to see njpw change the belt design instead of throwing it away but I won’t forget seeing the iwgp neveropenweight title and I won’t forget the matches that njpw had the iwgp neveropenweight title in I won’t forget the shibata vs tomorrow ishii wrestle kingdom 17 match i won’t forget the will ospreay vs Kota ibushi wrestle kingdom 13 match and I won’t forget shingo takagi vs hiroki goto new beginning in Sapporo match and last i won’t forget the iwgp neveropenweight title match between jay white vs hiroshi tanahashi at last year wrestling dontaku match these are some the great iwgp neveropenweight title i won’t forget and even tho the iwgp neveropenweight title was never and is never my favorite title I hope it don’t go but most definitely I hope they don’t take my other favorite two iwgp title and that is the iwgp us title and the iwgp jr heavyweight title they sadly took out my last favorite title the old r.i.p iwgp heavyweight title but I hope they don’t take out my other favorite titles.

  25. It feels like a long shot but my gut is saying that he’ll show up to drop the belt at that mystery show in NY before Halloween. Probably a short match with a fluke finish.

    KOPW-gimmick matches

    IWGP-TV championship Openweight, fast pace matches, big offense to put away opponents

    In this context, I don’t see where the NEVER Openweight Championship fits here.
