It’s been 9 days and still, I haven’t seen any obvious foreign tourists. I guess I was too busy and/or spending time in the “wrong” places. Not that I’m desperately seeking the company of foreign tourists, but I’m just suspicious and don’t wanna be caught off-guard when going on some trips soon lol
So, tell me, where are they hiding? Have you had any annoying encounters yet? Any funny or negative coverage on tourists in the Japanese media yet?

I saw a middle-aged couple excitedly heading into a Lawson 100 on Tuesday. They had masks and sunglasses. I hope they’re having a lovely time
Where are you looking? I’ve seen plenty in Tokyo and Kanagawa.
Few encounters of tourists around Fuji … without masks. *sigh* idc if u believe masks work or not, but once those obasans catch foreign-looking people not obeying rules the damage is already done
Gion has already been reclaimed as their own territory, albeit with far less tourists from China.
