Just add an Apple Pay compatible credit card if possible
I load my watch via the Suica app on my phone, works the same way.
They’re not super common, but there are fare adjustment machines that have the contact pad for the IC card on top so you can just turn your wrist and leave your watch there while you put in the money.
Not an apple watch but I can load my Fitbit by placing it in the area where you place the card. You can only do it on those machines. If you don’t have enough balance to get out the gate I think you can ask the guy in the gate to load it up.
Take the watch off and put it in the hole? I haven’t seen this machine you are referring to so maybe there is some reason that the watch wouldn’t work the same way with it?
You have to choose to put Suica on your phone, or watch. Can’t do both.
