Help – accidentally flushed blender ball

Hi, as the title says, I accidentally flushed a blender ball (found in protein shakers).

For now, I can flush as usual, however, I noticed some delays. My concern is that the blender ball got (highly likely) stuck somewhere in pipelines and might be catching anything I flush in near future…and thus, clog.

I am thinking about going some home center and get some wire with a hook to try to catch it and pull it out.
Not sure whether plunger can help me in this case.

Eventually, if I need to call a plumber, can they actually pull things out? Isn’t unclogging more about just getting things unclogged and flush them away?

Open to any suggestion

Edit: as mamy of you ask how it happened…it’s simple.

I forgot to finish my protein shake yesterday – I remembered that in the morning. So I just discarded it in a toilet and flushed… that’s when I remembered that I had that blender ball inside as well. It was 5 am and I was not fully woken up

  1. Have you got wire coat hangers? Maybe unwind one and see if you can form a hook on the end and pull it out.

  2. If you don’t know what you’re doing, don’t try anything beyond using plunger. Do not fashion tools out of coat hangers. Bite the bullet and call a plumber if this doesn’t go away.

  3. Attach a fishing hook to some wire and flush it down, then when you pull it up it will catch on the blender ball.

  4. Where you doing something weird with the blender ball? I’m glad you just need a plumber and not a visit to the ER.

  5. Get a plumber snake on Amazon under ¥3000. I bought this one for my bathroom drain and sink. Amazing what it dug out!

I like this one because it rolls up in the container for easy storage. I use it 1/year. There are other brands like this too

  7. So… my daughter flushed the top of a small spray bottle and it got caught in the s-trap inside the toilet. Since the toilet is a single porcelain casting, you can’t take it apart to remove the s trap and no amount of plunging/or snaking could get it out.

We had to call a plumber and he couldn’t get it out via normal means either. The choices were to replace the toilet or use a vacuum/pressure pump to pull it out…

We did the later and it cost us around 12man.

………that’s a thing people do? Wow.

  9. Instead of a wire with a hook, get a snake. A snake is a very long flexible wire thing that you stick down any drain. Usually on the end you hold it with, there’s a handle that can help you crank it around. That twists it all around the pipe, dislodging anything in it. Pull the snake back out, and either whatever was there will have gone further down the pipe or it will come up with the snake. If not, try it again. Also, for next time, toilets aren’t for flushing down anything. Dump your protein shake in your kitchen sink, which should have filters in it.

  10. Oooooh that kind of blender ball. I was thinking of a makeup sponge.

Couldn’t hurt to snake it. And yea plumbers can get shit out of your pipes. Not just the out of your butt kind of shit haha.

  12. Stop flushing and call a professional. That way you don’t have to buy a tool you’ll only use once and get the ball out safer.

  13. Don’t buy anything, you were born with the perfect tool, just stick your hand down there and see if you can feel it and pull it out. It’s not that bad, just wash your hands you won’t die. If you get sick but get it out, it’s cheaper with health insurance than to pay for a plumber

  14. There is no choice. You’re going to have to go into hiding now. Run while you can.
