Like many of us in this sub, I like to watch anime sometimes. There are lots of great tools for mining Anki cards from anime these days like asbplayer, memento, anime book, and add-on scripts for mpv player. Unfortunately, all of those tools require you to be sitting at your PC in order to make cards.
Personally I like to watch anime on my phone or on my TV. I don’t use subtitles because they’re not available on the streaming service that I use but if I watch on my PC I can inject subtitles using browser extensions. I’m at a level where I can watch anime without subtitles or lookups and understand it just fine, but there are still words which I don’t know the meaning of. It’s kind of like watching over an antenna with static. The signal is pretty clear and I can clearly make out what’s going on, but it’s not clear like a 4k video, so I still have a desire to make flash cards even at this level.
But I don’t want to sit at my PC while watching anime. It’s just inconvenient. I like to watch episodes from my phone or TV, and I would much rather generate cards later to import into my deck. So I decided to check out subs2srs but I was very disappointed to find out that it only makes sentence cards. I specifically only use vocab cards.
Are there any tools available which can scan the subtitle file and automatically generate cards with the word on the front and reading/dictionary/sentence on the back? It would be extra helpful if it ignores words that are already in my deck. It would be so convenient to be able to just run a script and generate cards after watching an episode on my phone.
Please help.

[https://jpdb.io](https://jpdb.io) contains wordlist for a great deal of anime. Moreover it has an embedded srs, so you don’t need anki.
There’s [jpdb.io](https://jpdb.io/). It has vocabulary lists for anime in its catalogue, and its own SRS system.
