In the US, low-dose aspirin (低容量アスピリン) is used as an over-the-counter preventative measure for heart disease. You can buy it at any drug store. However, I haven’t been able to find any in Japan. I can find full-strength aspirin, but it’s way stronger than what I’m looking for, 75mg. I can’t even find it on Amazon. I’ve asked at 4 drug stores, and no one had it. Am I looking in the wrong place? Do I need to buy it at a pharmacy or something?

Buy a pill cutter?
I have never seen low dose aspirin here.
Aspirin proper is often hard enough to find. The availability comes in waves, at least that’s my impression. Have a look at the dosage you’re looking for and compare it to the normal one they sell here. Tylenol/paracetamol is sold at a lower dose per tablet, maybe it’s the same with Aspirin.
And it might be cheaper overall to have a doctor prescribe you something.

I eat low dose aspirin on prescription. It usually comes as a combo tablet with 100mg aspirin and 50mg or so of something to keep the stomach happy
