Black and White is the first game set in the series to allow you to switch on kanji, anything newer than that should also have the option.
seconding what everyone else is saying, but adding on that Legends Arceus is so far I believe the only game that has kanji with furigana so depending on your kanji skills I highly recommend Legends Arceus
