Hi fellow JapanTravel redditors, I just wanna share how pumped I am for my first solo trip to Tokyo. I literally booked the flight seeing how relatively cheap it was and also to solo travel in Japan has been a very huge dream of mine I’m seriously so excited!!
Ok but anyway I will be going around 25 Feb to 4 March 2023 and I would like to know:
\- What kind of clothing should I bring/wear? bc I come from Singapore which is tropical and have only ever been to other tropical climate countries
\- I don’t exactly have an itinerary for now but I veer towards natural, cultural sightseeing and maybe a little shopping so I was thinking of going to do plum blossom viewing, going to Nikko for a daytrip or maybe even stay there for say 2 days? I also wanted to hit the shrines and temples. Gosh I’m pretty overwhelmed. I also want to do a little thrift shopping and go to chic cafes haha. So may I have some opinions or reccomendations or just thoughts about this?
\- Not so sure about budget as well, I’m still a student, so I wouldn’t want to spend much but at the same time I’m not so sure about accommodations as well. Also around where do I stay ( I will try to do my research but figured I could try here for some opinions :D)
\- In the 5 or so days I am there, may I have general reccommendations for places to visit or to eat at (I was considering going to the convenience stores for like 60% of my meals since they look so good)
