I happen to have the following question: I’ve seen some blanks on a lot of music lyrics, so I wonder if there is any explanation to why this occurs. My first guess is that, at times, particles are being omitted. But my Japanese is not quite good enough to be completely sure about it.
The song I’ve been trying to understand is the following (I’m adding an “X” on every blank):

I also assume sometimes a period or comma is being omitted.

If this is the song by 物語シリーズ, the lyrics you posted are an accurate transcription of the first lines of the song. I assume the spaces are just there for legibility, or perhaps to denote pauses in the prosody of the singer’s speech. I hope this helps.
