Strange issue with my AC remote. Had the AC on last night and went to turn it off only to discover the remote can’t seem to connect to it. Screen on the remote works but there’s no beep when pressing the buttons. In the end had to climb up and turn the AC off manually.
Any ideas or has the remote had it? Changed the battery and took a look at the manufacturer page for this model and it’s long gone. Found the instruction manual but it’s no help. Also reset it using the small hole on the back.

If you’re renting and the landlord owns the AC you should contact them. If it’s your AC and it’s old you’re looking at either repairing or replacing either the remote or the AC, depending on which one is the problem. We have an old AC in one room of our house where the remote seems to be working but the AC doesn’t respond to it.
