November Itinerary for family of 4 – Tokyo and Hake

My family of four (all adults) is travelling to Japan at the start of November for 10 days and would appreciate any feedback or recommendations based on our current itinerary. It is not our first time in Japan, and we are a huge foodie fam so would love any must visit food recs! We are also driving for the first time in Japan, so would appreciate any tips. Thank you \^\^

Day 1: Arrive to Haneda at night, airport limo or train to Shinjuku Stn. Hotel close walk to Shinjuku stn. If hungry will go combini or any restaurants in the area still open.

Day 2: Gotokuji Temple early morning, then Harajuku, Meiji Jingu shrine, Shibuya area during the day to walk around, shop and eat. Maybe Shibuya Sky. Shin-Okubo, then Roppongi at night for dinner.

Day 3: 5am Tsukiji market, Asakusa sensoji temple, Kappabashi, Ueno, Akihabara.

Day 4: No plans yet, thinking of maybe going to Odakyu Sightseeing centre. Would appreciate suggestions.

Day 5: Take Odakyu Romance car to Odawara, rent car in Odawara to drive to Hakone. Queen Ashinoko Ship, Hake Ropeway, Owakudani’s scenery, Hake Shrine, Hakone air museum, Pampas grass field Sengokuhara. Check into hotel, dinner at hotel.

Day 6: Breakfast at hotel, drive to Gotemba premiere outlet, to Lake Kawaguchi, Arakurayama Sengen park, Lake Kawaguchi Ropeway, FujiQ, Oishi Park, Momiji Corridor Lake. Move to another cottage style accomodation in the area, dinner near accomodation.

Day 7: Check out of accomodation, train back to Tokyo. Check into hotel in Odaiba

Day 8: No plans, maybe Disneyland/Sea?

Day 9: No plans

Day 10: Check out of hotel, flight in the morning.

  1. How do you plan to go back to the car after the boat and ropeway ?

    If you morve a bit of the Kawaguchiko stuff on the second day, all doable by public transport with Hakone-Fuji pass.
