Luggage storage for more than a few days

I’m deciding to take a plane ride to the Kansai area instead of train. Just works better for me. I have Disney tickets the day before my flight then go to Narita and stay there for the night to have an early flight the next day. I know everyone will say it’s a packed day with commuting but I’m used to it. I won’t be going to Disneysea for the rides, maybe 1-3 rides at most.

I plan to leave my Airbnb by 7am with my carry on and checked luggage. Is it a terrible idea to have my luggage in a local train especially if that’s during rush hour? I want to use the storage locker at Shinjuku station to go to Disney. I keep hearing it will be hard to find big lockers though.

I know there’s a delivery service but I would like my luggage night of before my flight to Kansai to store souvenirs.

When I head to my Kansai flight at Narita, can I also ask for them to store my luggage for 3 days before my flight back to the US? It will be a very early flight, 7am to Kansai. So I’d have to leave my hotel around 5am since I’m not sure how fast the process will be.

The early morning hours mean it won’t be impossible. The guidance that it’s hard to find storage for large bags really only seems to apply if you’re dragging them with you between 12pm and 5pm. Things tend to open up after school and work, weekends are always busy though, so factor which days you go into your baggage transportation situation.

You’ll want to confirm which trains are running from your hotel, or if there is a bus that goes to the airport, and at what time. There is a desk for dropping off bags for storage at the airport, [you’ll want to confirm if they are open in time for you to drop off your bags the day-of](https://www.narita-airport.jp/en/service/svc_06) if not, it might just be easier to go up the night before, and stay in a hotel in Narita city [or at the capsule hotel in the airport](https://www.narita-airport.jp/en/service/svc_81) to ensure a smooth transition.

  2. luggage delivery takes up to 24 hours and costs up to $30 per bag or suitcase.

But no, you won’t be able to take luggage onto a packed train during rush hours (which is anywhere from 4-11 pm).

Best advice would be to get a taxi if you don’t want to risk having it shipped.
