Will you enter -once- before January ?
Your visa will become void at that moment, and you’ll get a status of residence instead. With that status of residence, you can leave Japan and return to Japan (besides some strange times aka early pandemic), with what is called a “re-entry permit”, for the duration of the status of residence.
Your visa is only the “authorization” to enter the first time, but people often confuse “visa” and “status of residence” in daily conversation.
TLDR : yes, if you enter once before Jan 24th.
