So, I’ve been in Japan for a a little bit over a month now and I’m just finding out about MyNumber card, like I had a certain idea about it but it wasn’t until I was signing up for Paypay that it hit me that I needed it (This is my own fault, I’ve been overwhelmed about other things that it wasn’t on the front of my mind)
Now, I am confused about what to do and how to get it, I know there is an online application but I don’t know where I can get the 23 number digit.
Can someone please help me?

They send it to you after you registered your address at the city office , but it takes more than a month I think. If it’s urgent or the letter doesn’t arrive you can also got to the city office and ask for 住民票 (certifcate of residence). On there you can also find your MyNumber.
