PayPal without a debit card

Hey all, international student here
I’m currently looking to buy something from overseas, but it only accepts PayPal. My debit card from my home country doesn’t work with PayPal as it always declines and the bank doesn’t currently support it and I can’t make a Japanese bank account as I haven’t been here for six months. So what I’m wondering is, are there any convenience store prepaid cards that works with PayPal? The purchase is around Â¥16000 so if the card can be recharged, that’d be helpful. Thanks in advance!

  1. I know for a fact that https://d-card.jp/prepaid/ works with Japanese paypal because I have it registered there. But you have to apply and wait about a week to receive the physical card.

You probably need a card with 3D secure, which is why your home country card is being rejected.

You can also try the vandle virtual card, it should work with paypal as funding source as well: https://vandle.jp/hello/usage-3d-secure/

You can load either d-card or vandle with cash at convenience stores.
