Confused with usage of まだ in this sentence.

I am confused about the usage of まだ in the following sentence: 春はまだか。How would I tell the difference between this sentence meaning “Is it Spring yet?” Or “Is it still Spring?”

  1. There is an implied verb in that sentence: 春はまだ(来ないの)か?

春はまだか is not a full sentence on its own.

  2. I would translate it as “ahhh, so it’s still a bit till spring” in the sense that the person who says it wants the spring.

And I wouldn’t really translate it another way
