I can officially read and write 110 Kanji!!

This may not sound like much to people, but I now know all readings and stroke order of 110 “recommended N5 Kanj” I know I have a long way to go, but I’m pretty proud of my progress.

  1. Be proud! Kanji is hard, it takes time and work to ace them. It’s the sole reason many people start japanese but don’t get further.

Give yourself a treat! But keep up for the ongoing learning curve, which is stepper, but also fun!

  2. That is a lot! I’m almost caught up to you myself, and it’s definitely not an easy task to learn all of those. You may have a long way to go, and so do I, but that doesn’t mean you should be any less proud. Everyone else who knows more than you was where you are now at some point. Good work and keep it up!

  3. Congrats! You’re working through the hardest part, in my opinion. The more radicals, readings, and vocab you know, the easier it gets to learn new kanji. The hard part is maintaining motivation, so staying proud of your progress is critical.

    Keep it up! Good luck!

  4. That’s definitely awesome to hear. The good news is that it generally gets easier over time and as you get more used to the whole process. I’ve been studying Kanji for well over a year and am nearing 1000, it’s honestly been fun! Best of luck going forward 🙂

  5. That’s impressive! Congratulations! I have just started recently practicing writing kanji and damn it’s frustrating sometimes but also feels kinda good. Good luck to us on our journey!

  6. I suppose this is at least more worthy of celebration than the recent “I read my first word!!!!” thread.
