Itinerary advice : First Time Japan Trip March 23

Hi All,

Have been watching for a while now using advice on other people’s threads regarding what are good things to do while in Japan and thought I’d finally show you mine and see what you think!

We are a group of three, happy to do some good walking throughout the day and experience all the many sides of Japan.

**April 01 :** Land in Tokyo early morning –
Shibuya crossing / Hichiko statue / Meiji Jingu and Yoyogi park / Lunch at Tsuta RamenHarajuku – fashon and pop culture district – check Takeshita Street and Omotesando Avenue, Harajuku and then karaoke somewhere

In the evening: Gyoen National Park / Shinjuku Omoide Yokocho – for dinner, then check out the Kabukicho – red light district and go to some bars like Golden Gai or Shibuya Centre Gai

**April 02 :** Senso-ji temple / Nakamise Street / Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Centre – outdoor viewing platform / Ueno Park – to see cherry blossom / Ameyoko Market & Akihabara

**April 03 :** Day Trip to Nikko

**April 04 :** Tsukiji fish market / Zojoji temple and Tokyo Tower / Rainbow Bridge / Odaiba Island / Gundam base / Tokyo Imperial Palace / Akasaka palace state guest house / Hie shrine / Nogi-jinja Shrine / Tokyo Midtown / Roppongi Hills

**April 05 :** Mt Fuji Day Tour + Travel to Hakone

**April 06 :** Hakone for shrins and Onsens (any recommendations appreciated)

**April 07 :** Travel to Kyoto then Nishiki Market / Silver Pavilion Ginkakuji / Walk along the philosopher’s path along part of the Lake Biwa / Nanzenji Temple / Temple complex of Chionin / Yasaka shrine / \[Kodai-ji Temple\] / Higashiyama historic-tourist district / Hokan-ji Temple (Yasaka Pagoda) / Nineizaka Street / Sanneizaka Street / Kiyomizu Dera Temple and in the evening go on a Geisha tour and eat at Pontocho alley

**April 08 :** Kyoto / Fushimi Inari Taish / Arashiyama bamboo grove / Togetsukyo Bridge of Arashiyama crossing Katsura River / Monkey Park Iwatayama / Tenryuji Temple / \[Jojakkoji Temple\] / Saga Toriimoto Street / \[Adashino Nenbutsuji Temple\] / Kinkaku-ji Temple

**April 09 :** Find a Kinosaki Onsen (recommendations)

**April 10 :** Travel to Osaka / Shinsekai district / Lunch at Kuromon market / Umeda sky building – the floating garden observatory / Osaka castle shitennoji temple /Amerikamura – shopping district / Dinner at – Minami District

**April 11 :** Osaka – Universal Studios / Den Den town

**April 12 :** Osaka – Visit Nara park

**April 13:** Osaka – Kobe day trip

**April 14:** Travel to Hiroshima / Atomic Bomb Dome / Peace Park (stay a night in Hiroshima or Miyajima)

**April 15 :** Travel to Miyajima island / visit temples, pagodas, shrines and ropeways then fly back to Tokyo

**April 16 :** Fly out of Tokyo

Obviously on some days we have a lot but we just felt like better to have a full list but would rather have the list to push us to try and get them in instead of spending all our time at one or two places and miss out on some great places
