1. Where can I watch anime/series with Japanese subtitles?

   So I watch anime mostly on Netflix, but their selection seems to be pretty limited (additionally, their style of subtitles are a bit hard to digest)
   And I watch on different online websites, but I haven’t been able to find any that provide Japanese subtitles.

   I want to try and get into the habit of watching anime/shows with Japanese subtitles, and I really wanted to rewatch series that I had previously watched with English subtitles.

   Does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations or should I just stick with Netflix ?

2. So I was watching an anime when I saw a kanji that I can’t seem to find or translate through image translators. I extracted the image from the screenshot, upscaled it, and then greyscaled it for a nice sharp image of it.

   It was on the back of a chair, can someone please tell me which kanji it is? It looks like it has the kanji for “leg” used in it.

3. I saw おてもと written on the wrapper of a chopsticks at a restaurant and when I looked it up it meant chopsticks apparently. Is this a another word for chopsticks? I thought chopsticks was はし. Is there a difference in the usage for both words ?

4. I’ve been having a hard time getting a feel for this — is うまいtoo casual to use at restaurants instead of おいしい? It seems like something that happens but at the same time it also seems more casual. Maybe it depends on the environment of the restaurant even. So I thought I’d poll this thread.

6. With regards to “we”, if a group of people contains both men and women, would the men still use 僕たち and the women 私たち? If the group only contained one man, would he still use 僕たち?

7. What is the Japanese word for “mostly” in this situation?

   A: Is this a common sequence?

   B: **Mostly**, some of the parts are slightly different

   Hello. I couldn’t find anything on ～もよし, is it some kind of a grammar point? In terms of meaning, it seems to mean something like “can also” I think?

9. Which reading do you use for 雰囲気？

   I always read and pronounced this as ふいんき, but I just saw that it’s apparently usually ふんいき, and ふいんき is an irregular reading. Have I just been hearing and saying this word wrong this whole time and the pronunciations are close enough that no one noticed? Or is ふいんき not actually that rare?
