Hi all, I was thinking of applying for the working holiday visa soon but had 2 questions
1. I lived in Japan for 3 years until January of this year. I planned to go back but due to family issues I never returned, meaning I didn’t sort out the departing tax payments. Is this likely to affect my working holiday visa application? I’m happy to pay if there is any way to do so.
2. If a working holiday visa is issued, how long do you have to enter the country? So I could sort out notice at my current job.

WHV is generally valid for entry for 12 months after receiving it. Probably is best to double check with the embassy in your specific country though (you didn’t specify which) as WHV agreements vary by country.
