How do you say onomastics or onomatology in Japanese? I found 擬音論 as one of the possible candidates but I can’t say for sure.
And please, don’t troll me with オノマトロジー like some people do. I don’t want the borrow word. I would prefer it in either 漢語, 和製漢語, or 中製漢語(if I didn’t just completely make up the third word) if it can’t be found in Japanese. I’m interested in the topic of onomastics in Japan. That’s why I want to know the word.

Hi just typed in onomastics in Wikipedia and changed the language to Japanese to see what I get. 固有名詞学（こゆうめいしがく） is what the japanese Wiki page titles it.

But I’m still a beginner so take this answer with a grain of salt. I hope a more experienced learner or even native speaker can confirm it.
