We’re moving to Japan next month and selling what we can. I wasn’t planning on keeping our Sony 65″ 4K TV, but looking at comparable TV’s in Japan (Bic Camera), the price is $1400-$2K! There’s no way I’m going to sell it for even half that, then I’d have to buy a new one at 3x that. So, I’m thinking of shipping (and insuring) it since we like streaming movies and sports. We’re shipping our stuff via freight, so it’s within our budget.
My questions are:
* Is there any compatibility issues? Power should be fine and we just connect to internet, so I’m assuming it should work.
* Has anyone done this recently? With the current yen exchange rate, some things seem better to ship than years past.
