I graduated my bachelor’s last late September and I made the mistake of not changing my visa immediately because I was promised a job by this eikaiwa that I worked part time at and told me I didn’t need to change to a job hunting visa because I can just go from student to a working visa once they hire me. Well unfortunately, they just told me that they were no longer going to hire me and I needed to process my visa on my own if
I wanted to continue working from them. I’m so worried because my student visa expires on Dec 10th and I need to consult with my university to provide me the recommendation letter and gather other requirements. I am so pissed right now and I can’t sleep lol.

It took me 1 month for the change. Don’t worry, you just need to apply for new status before the last day of the current RC (i.e. 10th dec) and your current RC will get a stamp that would mean you get another two months of extension.
But the bigger problem I see here is that, in my university provided job seeking visa recommendation was only provided upto one month of graduation. If your university provides it now, you don’t have to worry.
