I’ve been scouring the net (in English and Japanese) looking for definitive information on whether this festival will still go on as planned. The festival website says nothing related to corona (at least that I could find), but Ishikawa is in a phase 4 state of emergency, so I don’t know if that automatically cancels all events.

Thanks everyone! It’s weird how they only update that specific page but not the homepage for the event itself.
Also, let’s give Japan logic a hand. Tokyo Disney, Universal Studios, and several water parks remain open, but a tiny outdoor festival in the middle of nowhere is canceled.
I was just up there a few days ago and everything is cancelled this year. Nothing going on on the Noto Peninsula.
